Collection: Glera Grapes

Glera is a white grape variety primarily cultivated in the Veneto and Friuli regions of Italy, most famously known as the key ingredient in Prosecco. This grape is celebrated for its high acidity, which contributes to the crisp, refreshing character of Prosecco wines, both frizzante (lightly sparkling) and spumante (fully sparkling).

Glera grapes also exhibit delicate fruity aromas of pear, apple, and white flowers, making it a popular choice for sparkling wine production. The name "Glera" was officially adopted in 2009 to distinguish the grape variety from the appellation "Prosecco," which is now reserved for wines produced within specific designated areas of Italy.
